12/30/2023 0 Comments Serviio 1.5.2 downloadI use the Pro version and have no problem with this. It did not fixed the issue tho, so I'll wayt for 2 weeks and see if there is something internal that will fix it. So I moved the clock forward, restarted the service and then moved it back to clear the trial. I just upgraded to 1.5.2 with hopes this was fixed, but to my surprise it again failed to add couple of downloaded files automatically, after it entered in trial mode. Once it finished, the files started to show up automatically. I want to clarify that my intention is not to criticize Serviio (or the developers), on the contrary, I am very pleased with Serviio and really appreciate the effort you (ZIP) and your team has put into it. It fixed itself somehow, as I stated in the previous post. I know DLNA is a kind of sharing), no mandatory 'config' or 'info' files (standard naming conventions for the files are just enough), no rigid folder structure, no transcoding (unless I force it) and any DLNA compliant device can access the library browsing the categories or the folders. There is no need to share the folders in the network (via Windows, I mean. One thing I like of Serviio is the simplicity (without losing the 'advanced' and 'debug' options for power users). I corrected the previous post to specify that the shares are within Serviio (DLNA protocol), not in Windows (File and printer sharing for Microsoft Networks protocol). As far as I know, UNC is for network shares (but maybe I am wrong). The new feature of 'offline' behavior for the 'external' drives is a good addition but I really don't need it because my drives are always connected.Ī) The 'update library' process worked fine in version 1.4.1.2.ī) They are USB 'local' drives. I will make an 'experiment' with the internal SSD to see how Serviio behaves but after that I still will remove 1.5.1 and reinstall 1.4.1.2 until the issue is solved. According to the forums, the problem is related to the way Serviio manages 'external' drives. The only way to refresh is to delete the share and re-add it. Forcing updates does not makes a difference either. Serviio does no updates the library when I add a new file (TV, movie or video), neither in the categories (TV or Movies) nor in the folders browsing. But maybe for Serviio it behaves like an 'external' ESATA drive because it have the option to 'eject' (hot-swap). Shares (Serviio -> Library (Tab) -> Shared folders): 'A:\TV' (with folders for each TV show), 'A:\MOVIES' (with folders for each movie), 'A:\VIDEOS' (for homemade and downloaded videos) No shares, only Windows and Program Files. LG Smart TV and LG BD with DLNA both of them.
