12/27/2023 0 Comments Sniper elite 3 crash on startup![]() But still, answer suits here, just to clear some eventual confusion. 3 of us on reddit tested it on 3080 10GB, 3060 12GB and 6900XT 16GB. Sorry I just woke up and thought I am answering on very similar thread from yesterday in "Technical support". Will Crash right away now if I use DX-12, RTX 3080 here too. After all these steps the problem should be fixed but in case you are still not able to launch the game, then instead of launching from desktop. In the opened window slide down the slider and click OK. You can do it going to Start Menu > type UAC > Enter. For comparison, maxed Cyberpunk with RTX is using 7GB on my 3080. Sniper Elite 3 wont Launch or Crashes on launch. We tested on AMD GPU too with 16GB and it hits 16GB used VRAM. ![]() I just hope they are reading this so at least they know where to start and what to look. install HWinfo and it easy to see how VRAM reach 100 and then crashes. ![]() Thank you for confirming it with 4th different GPU. On High I can play with near the VRAM limit usage, so I am good, but many ppl can't play. They have lower FPS, but they are not crashing, here I have high FPS (141 capped 1440p Ultra settings) but game crashes eventually on DX12 or freeze on Vulkan. Maxed Cyberpunk with maxed RTX does not come even close, same for Metro Exodus Enhanced. This is too old engine for such big VRAM usage. Maybe FPS drop, slow texture loading etc., but not crash. On Ultra I can't play, which is not normal for any game. Like I said I had just one crash on high when it pushed the limit on my GPU so it crashed, but mostly stay around 9GB. Choose Sniper Elite 5 > Select Uninstall all. Select Manage game & add-ons or Manage app. Now, press the Menu button on your controller. Select the Sniper Elite 5 game that you’re trying to reinstall. Then select the Ready to install tab > Select Queue. On Ultra it never stops (like you have confirmed), on High it is going up to 9-9.5GB in some missions. Select My games & apps > Hit See all > Choose to Games. It may be it is Denuvo, but for that it should be tested on cracked game and we don't do cracked games. EAC does not matter, not sure about Denuvo. We did not do deep testing and trying to find where leak is (we are not beta testers, we just wanted to play, also we can't see the code and fix that for them), all we found that there is VRAM leak tested on 3 different GPUs with different drivers, and it seems the higher settings the bigger the leak.ĭriver version does not matter, GPU brand/version does not matter. 'Sniper Elite III Ultimate Edition is an excellent port of the original game, and feels right at home on the Switch. Also Rebellion acknowledged that "GPU device lost" problem exist but they don't know or won't say why is that error appearing and some ppl can't play the game. That is main reason of "GPU device lost" error OP asked. Originally posted by =Axton=:For what its worth I have a Radeon 6950XT and the game runs fine on ultra, but GPU-Z tells me it's using all 16GB of vram at 1440p which I don't believe is normal.Īnd some machines are crashing, freezing or start to stutter badly because of such high VRAM usage, so game become unplayable.
